We moved to Chile in 2013 looking for a new beginning. More than 13 years later, Chile is home. During those years we have bought property, raised a family, built businesses, homesteaded, grown food, kept animals, lived off-grid, traveled the country, and learned how everyday life here actually works.
We have also spent years answering questions and helping other foreigners through Chile Expat Family. The guide grew out of that experience. It includes the things we wish someone had explained to us before we arrived, along with the questions we hear repeatedly from people considering the same move.
